ESTEL at the Associations Show in Tsarskoye Selo

For thirteen years, the Associations Show has taken place in the picturesque Catherine Park of Tsarskoye Selo. Each year, this spectacular event brings together thousands of visitors, inviting them to immerse themselves in a unique atmosphere shaped by striking visuals, evocative music, and elaborate stage design.

This year, the Associations Show invited designers to explore the journey of Crown Prince Nikolay Aleksandrovich, the future Emperor Nikolay II, across the East, including Egypt, India, Siam, and China. A team of ESTEL stylists worked behind the scenes, creating hairstyles that complemented the collections of renowned fashion designers and brought each artistic vision to life.

The spectacular sets created by director Victor Kramer played a key role in capturing the spirit of the East. At the heart of the mini-performance dedicated to Lilia Kiselenko’s collection stood a giant, vividly colored scarab beetle, a powerful symbol associated with ancient Egyptian culture.

The mirror-like ponds of Catherine Park provided a captivating setting for Ekaterina Matlina’s interpretation of a journey to mysterious Siam. Meanwhile, the multifaceted grandeur of China was expressed through delicate pastel looks and traditional embroidery in the collection created by Tatiana Parfenova.

St. Petersburg designer Stat Lopatkin shared his vision of India through the Said Collection. ESTEL stylists, including ESTEL Academy representatives Oksana Solovyova and Nikita Kavlakan, complemented the costumes and completed the looks with Indian-inspired hairstyles.

Particular attention was given to traditional textures and distinctive elements, including braids, dreadlocks, center-parted hairstyles, and an emphasis on natural beauty. These features continue to play an important role in Indian hairstyling traditions today.

The mysterious and magnificent Catherine Palace became the grand setting for the culmination of the event. Exquisite oriental jewelry harmonized beautifully with the palace’s opulent golden interiors, while the designers’ vivid creations, enhanced by carefully crafted hairstyles, offered a fresh perspective on the history, beauty, and remarkable character of Eastern cultures.
