HAIRDRESSERS CHANGE THE WORLD. An event that united past, present, future

On September 19, in the heart of St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Center hosted an important event – “Masters Change the World”, which included the premiere of the film “Happy People” by ESTEL.

This day united masters who came from different parts of Russia to meet good old friends, meet new people, immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past and, of course, be the first to see the movie “Happy People”, dedicated to the USSR hairdressers team that revolutionized the beauty industry. Lively atmosphere, heartfelt conversations – when so many creative and unique people, united by love for their work, gather together, the air fills with joy and vibrates with energy.

Everything came together to make guests forget about everyday life and travel back in time. An interactive area that recreates a beauty salon, where you can fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Soviet era, for example, to look at the tools of masters of the past years, sit at the dryer and flip through magazines for fashionistas. The exhibition of the USSR national team, telling about the amazing fates of such famous masters and stylists as: Nikolai Kharkovsky, Vyacheslav Zaitsev, Vladimir Garus, Valentin Yudashkin, Dolores Kondrashova, Vazha Mkhitaryan. ESTEL – UNION OF THE FIRST fashion collection show, the models of which demonstrated hairstyles and bright images that allowed to feel the charm of the era.

The central event of the evening was a movie screening. “Happy People” – a movie about the USSR national team of masters. About those who raised the prestige of hairdressing art to the heights it deserves. About those who revolutionized the beauty industry. About those who were devoted to their work, whose hearts burned with fire and this fire was transmitted to others. A movie that serves as a reminder: you can create a beautiful future only if you remember your past. When you think about future generations, when you respect the past – everything gains the highest value.

The screening ended with a creative meeting with the USSR national team legends who became mentors for many masters and contributed to the beauty industry – Elena Baklushina, Vladimir Alekseev, Nanara Berezina, Eduard Tashmetov, Yuri Margolin, Mikhail Vasiliev. Touching stories about personal and professional development, conversations about important things: mentoring and mastery, hairdresser’s mission to make clients happier – all this once again proved that masters change people’s lives, influence society. Masters change the world.
